TWO-COMPONENT METALLIC COATING – ZENMETAL

ZenMetal is a premium two-component metallic coating system specifically formulated to create a brilliant, high-shine finish on non-traffic surfaces such as walls and furniture.

The system consists of two parts:

  • Component A: Pure, high-quality metallic powder particles.

  • Component B: A specialized liquid resin matrix specifically engineered for this coating.

  • Color Palette: The product line offers five distinct metallic finishes: Iridium, Aluminium, Bronze, Copper, and Brass.

  • Application Methods: Applicators can use either a trowel or a roller to manipulate the material and create various customized surface textures based on design preferences.

  • Special Oxidized Effect: For a unique, rustic industrial look, ZenMetal can be transformed into a real oxidized (rusted/patina) surface by combining it with the ZenRust chemical oxidation activator.

APPLICATION METHOD FOR ZENMETAL

Surface Cleaning

Before applying ZenMetal, carefully inspect the substrate to ensure it is completely clean and dry. To guarantee a spotless work area, use a vacuum cleaner if necessary to remove all loose dust and debris.

Surface Preparation

Apply one coat of the appropriate primer based on the substrate type:

  • ZenPrimer 100: For absorbent (porous) surfaces.

  • ZenPrimer 200: For non-absorbent (non-porous) surfaces.

Mixing Components A and B

Thoroughly mix Component A (metallic powder) and Component B (resin) according to the specified mixing ratio. Apply 02 coats of ZenMetal to the prepared surface:

  • Layer 1: Allow to dry for 2 hours*.

  • Layer 2: Allow to dry for 12 hours*.

Sanding and Cleaning to Reveal Metallic Gloss

  • Sand the surface using 180-220 grit sandpaper.
  • Polish (pulir) the surface sequentially using 800 grit and 1000 grit sandpaper.
  • This critical step brings out the signature metallic luster. Once completed, wipe away all dust and debris.

Applying the Protective Topcoat

To protect and seal the metallic finish, apply 02 coats of ZenSealant 2K protective varnish:

  • Layer 1: Allow to dry for 24 hours*.

  • Layer 2: Allow to dry for 24 hours*.
